You’ve been on this journey on your own for a while now. You’ve browsed thousands of websites, watched hundreds of videos and consumed all the free content out there about finding an online remote job, but it feels like you’re going in circles. You’ve tried to do more research, but you are always tired at the end of the day from your 9-5 job. And maybe you’ve even applied for online jobs on your own< but haven’t landed one yet.

Is it time to ask for help? Here are 9 signs that prove that you could benefit from help in your online remote job search.

#1: You believe you can’t find an online job

Yes, this is a pretty common mindset block (more common than you think!) And you might believe that you cannot find an online job either because you are not located in North America or Europe, or because you are located in the Caribbean, Africa, or Asia. Maybe you feel like you cannot land a remote job because you don’t believe in your skills, or you have zero online work experience. Or perhaps it is because you don’t know anyone “like you” who has landed an online job.

What if I told you that 90% of the people I have successfully coached to land an online job:

  1. Are located outside of the USA, Canada, North America and Europe
  2. Are located in the Caribbean, Africa or Asia
  3. Already have a fulltime job and have a fami樂威壯 ly
  4. Were dealing with mindset blocks just like you are right now?

Apart from having the right skills for online jobs, being successful in landing a remote job requires having a growth and success mindset. A mindset so solid that it equips you to overcome all the negative and self limiting beliefs that will try to keep you down on this journey. This is something that I talk about in detail from the very beginning of my signature course, Making Money Online for Beginners. In this 3-month coaching program, I am intentional in making sure that I help you build a success mindset from the start, as it becomes paramount throughout the course. And the results are always stellar. Every single time.

#2: You are afraid of falling prey to scams

Online work scams are real, and feeling afraid of falling prey to scams is a legit concern for anyone who is looking for a remote job. However, if that fear paralyzes you from even trying, signing up for an online job platform or putting yourself out there, then having an online work/remote work coach might be what you need. A remote work coach will help you identify the reasons why you are afraid of falling prey to online scams, figure out how to identify online job scams, and even show you platforms that you should be using that are legit for landing online jobs. In my signature course Making Money Online for Beginners, one of the course modules specifically focuses on that: how to identify and avoid online scams.

#3: You have been doing it on your own for at least 3 months now, but no results

There is no exact timeline to land a job online. The time it takes depends on each individual: their skills, abilities, and dedication to this journey. However, on average, students that I coach have landed online jobs within 5 weeks to 6 months of working with me. Additionally, most of them have landed repeated job interviews and have transitioned to working online full time within a year of having worked with me. Using the own statistics, I am confident that if you’ve been on your own trying to land an online job for the past 3 months and have had no success, then you might definit from a remote job coach!

#4: You get discouraged every time you send an application but get no response

Mindset, drive and determination are critical when it comes to landing an online job. People tend to believe that because it is “online” then the results should be instant and easy, and this is only one of the million other myths that new freelancers have about working remotely. But, you don’t always get an online job after your first try at remote jobs applications. It is important to  get into this process with grit, perseverance and determination until you approach your goal! All the students I have coached either came with these characteristics, or developed it along the way through the supportive environment that they got in the coaching program, Making Money Online for Beginners. Not only did they receive one-on-one support and assistance from me and my team, but  every single student is supported, motivated and encouraged by the other students on this journey! And this is one of the unique aspects of this coaching program that you won’t find in any other coaching program out there. Guaranteed.

#5: You are not sure what to include in your cover letters or resumes

Writing a cover letter or resume for an online job is not the same as for a physical job. In online job pitches and applications, you need to highlight things like your experience working online, your familiarity with remote work tools, your tech savviness and a few other tricky aspects that will show your prospective client why you are the right choice. Interestingly, for my students who did not have any of these skills and abilities, I have shown them how to leverage what they already had, and learn new key skills in order to make themselves competitive in the online marketplace.

#6: You are applying to every job you see out of despair

You’ve been there. Feeling like you need to get any job at least to get started. But this desire generally stems from the fact that you don’t believe that you can land a job in your skill category, or you’re not even sure which skills category is for you. I always tell my coaching students this: you don’t need to go for any job online: focus on the remote jobs that are fit for your specific skill set and go with that. There is a client out there who needs the skills you have, and once you’ve found them, you can find many more like them. So, instead of fishing for “any” online job out there, you need to be niching down and go for the jobs that are right for you. And I can show you how to identify this in the Module 3 of my signature course, Making Money Online for Beginners

#7: You have not taken any step at all

Maybe you lack the motivation, discipline or inspiration to take the first step. Or perhaps you need the courage to get started again after failure from the past. Either way, you will definitely not find anything if you don’t put yourself out there. And to put yourself out there, you could benefit from a team of supportive people around you, encouraging and motivating you along the way. And this is what the community from Making Money Online for Beginners is all about!

#8: You are not sure which skill category will be right for you

This is a pretty common challenge that a lot of aspiring freelancers and remote workers face, so don’t feel bad if you’re on the same boat. I have a free minicourse that can help you identify the right online skills for you!

#9: You are very close to giving up

But please, don’t. Your past does not determine your future, but what you do in your present does. If you’re close to giving up, apply these 3 Rs. Reset, Re-strategize and Restart! Reset your mindset and get back to believing that you can do this (because you can, with the right guidance and attitude). Re-strategize and develop a new approach by analyzing: what went wrong? What can I improve? Should I hire a coach? And once you’ve done this, restart!  And don’t give up until you’ve achieved what you needed to.
