Barbados Rostrevor Hotel is one of the hotels in Barbados that I recently discovered during a transit trip on the island of the sun. If you are looking for a comfortable and convenient hotel to stay in Barbados during a short trip (from a few hours to a few days), the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel is a great option to consider. I had the opportunity to stay there during a 24-hour layover in Barbados, and here are a few reasons I would recommend it (and why I enjoyed my stay at the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel).

Things that make the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel Unique
First, the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel is located in St Lawrence Gap, which is one of the most popular tourist spots in Barbados. This means that when you stay at the Rostrevor Hotel, you are at the center of action, specifically nightlife! If this is your cup of tea, you are definitely at the right location. It’s a beautiful area to walk around in the late afternoon, and a fun area to stop at in the evenings.
Additionally, beach front hotels at “The Gap” like the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel generally have great deals on drinks: from the early hours of the afternoon to the evenings, you can score some “happy hour deals” where you get two drinks for the price of one: a great way to chill at the beach, while sipping some Caribbean cocktails and soaking in the Bajan sun. How to get to the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel
The Barbados Rostrevor Hotel is located in Christchurch, which is about 15 mins from the Grantley-Adams International Airport (Barbados International Airport). You can easily access it by taking a taxi from the airport. The cost is between 20-50 USD.
The Rooms at the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel
One of the things that immediately stood out to me during my stay at the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel was this: the room I picked looked exactly what was on the website. A lot of times, when you book online, it’s hard to ensure that what you see is what you get. However, I was really happy to see that this Barbados hotel truly portrayed what the rooms looked like.
With a gorgeous sea view every morning from my Ocean Front Junior Suite, I woke up with a sense of gratitude to be on such a beautiful island, even for a short stay. I went to bed to the soothing sound of the sea waves. There are truly select things that make me content as a traveler, and such an experience is one of them.

The rooms at the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel are also equipped in a way that allows you to be able to cook your own meals, which means you get to save some more so you can spend on unique activities to do in Barbados. The only other hotels where I had seen a stove and kitchen utensils (with plates, pots and cups) in an Airbnb style was South Beach Hotel, Barbados. I really appreciate this model of hospitality, because it makes it more convenient to save and control what you eat when you travel with kids or with groups.
The Restaurant and Pool Bar at the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel
During my stay at the Barbados Rostrevor Hotel, breakfast was served with a pool and beach side view. Ah. the beauty of living in the Caribbean! The Almond Tree Restaurant (in-house restaurant located at the hotel) makes it perfect for you to chill while you eat. It’s truly about the simple pleasures. When you book directly via the Rostrevor Hotel’s website, you receive complimentary breakfast for a stay of 3 nights or more.
