Chicago is one of my favourite cities in the world.
I am not sure if it is because it’s the first city I ever visited in the USA (you know what they say about first times, can be good or bad), or because I have a lot of good friends living there, or maybe it’s a combination of both. When I went to Chicago, I felt so welcome that I didn’t want to leave anymore.
Apart from the emotional connection, I think the city itself is pretty amazing. A unique and thorough design, an easy navigation of streets, avenues and alleys, state-of-art like architectures and buildings and an almost perfect transportation system are all reasons why I love Chicago so much!
It was easy to get by to different places, be it downtown or in the suburbs. In addition, the city is pretty busy in the sense that there is always something to do, and not a second to be bored: which tourist wouldn’t melt for that? 🙂
I spent a few weeks there, and although I wasn’t on vacation and I managed to steal some time for sightseeing and carpe the diems that came along!
From Strolling around Navy Pier to walking the Magnificent Mile, with stops at the Chicago Cultural Center and also the Legendary Bean, I couldn’d get enough of the wind city.
